How do I get started with Linguadiary?
Simply download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), open it, and start writing your first diary entry. No account required for basic features.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use Linguadiary locally without an account. If you want to sync your diaries across devices (Pro feature), you'll need to sign up for cloud sync.
How does AI grammar correction work?
When you tap the AI correction button, your text is sent to an AI service (like OpenAI) for processing. The AI analyzes your writing and generates a grammatically correct version while preserving your original meaning. Basic users get 1 free correction per day; Pro users get unlimited corrections.
How do I enable voice playback?
Open any diary entry and tap the speaker icon. You can adjust playback speed, pitch, and voice in the TTS controls. Pro users have access to advanced voices and loop playback for language learning.
Can I export my diary entries?
Yes. You can export individual entries as text or PDF. Pro users can also export diary audio as MP3 files for offline listening.
Does Linguadiary work offline?
Yes, you can write and edit diary entries offline. However, AI grammar correction and cloud sync require an internet connection.
What languages are supported?
The app interface supports English and Chinese. For voice playback, it depends on your device's system TTS, which typically supports 50+ languages. AI grammar correction works best with English and Chinese.
What's the difference between Basic and Pro?
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to Settings → Subscription in the app and choose either Monthly ($4.99/mo) or Yearly ($29.99/yr) plan. Payment is processed through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
I lost my data. Can you recover it?
If you were using cloud sync (Pro), your data should be safely stored in the cloud. Simply log in with the same account to restore. If you were using local storage only, we cannot recover lost data. We recommend enabling cloud sync or regular backups.

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your cloud data. To delete local data, uninstall the app from your device.
